Tribute

It is with great sadness to have to say goodbye to Abe Pineda after a tragic accident took his life at the early age of 29 years old. Abe was always happy and full of energy.

Abe Magtibay Pineda was born on April 13, 1993, in Ochoa, Butuan City, Philippines. He was the youngest among the 6 children of Romeo Pineda and Marilyn Pineda.  Abe was a good provider, husband, and loving father. He also loved his job as a mechanic very much, sometimes even giving free service to a customer in a difficult situation. On coming to Canada, he took on the task of being a heavy duty mechanic alongside other family members, using all the skills he acquired in the Philippines. Abe quickly grew to be a respected technician on the various jobsites where he went to diagnose and repair equipment. At the end of the day, he would return home, play the guitar with his family or play games with Crisabe. He will always be remembered for his love, devotion, and dedication for his family. In the short time Abe studied the Bible he came to understand the temporary nature of death and the future hope of a resurrection to a paradise life on earth as promised by our Loving God, Jehovah. Knowing that what our God says always comes true we look forward to that time as well.

Abe will be missed by his wife Cristine and daughter Crisabe. In the Philippines his family included; Romeo his father, predeceased by his mother Marilyn, siblings Mylene Grace, Marites, Romeo Jr, Romina Marie, Kenny Boy. Family in Canada included Grant & Rosalina (father-in-law and  mother-in-law), Filrose and  Mary Lou (sisters-in-law),  and Felix and  Christian (brothers-in law).
