Dorothy, Mike and Family,
Sorry to read of the loss of your father/grandfather. May you find comfort in all of your memories.

From: Dale Friesen
Relation: Family friend from a former church (Kennedy Heights)

Fond Memories of a good man. One time at a church picnic many years ago when I was a young boy, my dad was working, so he couldn’t make the picnic, so when it happened that there was going to be a “Father and son” PAPER PLATE HOP RACE, well because my dad was not there, and as Mr. Friesen (no relation, by the way), happened to be standing close by (I don’t think that his own son, Norm, was there that day, either), and so he offered to team up with me. Now memory fails me as to how this race actually worked, however one thing I do remember was how far that Mr. Friesen could hop (as he kept telling me to move the plate out farther and farther – I think the general idea was for one person to keep putting a plate on the ground some distance away, and the other was to keep hopping onto it, etc., until you reached the finish line). What an athlete he was! God bless you all!

Relation: Our son-in-law's grandfather

Dear entire Friesen family, just wanted to pass on our deepest condolences. Gramps was an amazing man and we loved getting to know him. We will be praying for your family tomorrow as you formally say “good-bye”. His legacy of faith and love will continue.

From: Fran Brown
Relation: Neighbour.

Abe was a wonderful, gentle man with a great sense of humor. It has been a privilege to know him and be his neighbour.

From: Dennis and Veronica Neufeld

Our sympathy to Norm, Kath, and other family members on the passing of your beloved father, Abe, as we called him. He shared his pleasure with hunting besides his taxidermy museum. His energy gave us delight to be in his presence. He was devoted to the Lord as he usually had his bible out on the table beside his chair. We had a few opportunities to take Abe out for lunch and hear about his family.
May Abe Rest in Peace with our Lord.

Love, from the Cousins, Dennis and Veronica Neufeld, Surrey, B.C.
