Tribute
Early in the morning of October 26th our dad left this earthly home and was reunited with our mom. He had a good life, but his body was tired and we said our goodbye every time we visited. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 3471 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Private graveside service with family.

Dear cousins! My heart goes out to you all as you have had to say goodbye for the last time to your amazing dad! I have been so blessed to have known him. My first introduction was a stern shake of his finger through a window as I was learning to ride a bike at your place when I was six. I bumped a car. In later years I saw his kind heart. When I think of uncle Alfred, I think of a quiet man, with a gentle smile.
He always reminded me of grandpa Buhr. This family has always meant so much my dad, he was compelled for many years to drive 1500 miles in a car packed with kids to see them. Special people will never be forgotten, and the legacy of these Buhr men remains with all of us. Our sincere sympathies on the loss of your dad. Even though his life was long, it is still always too soon.
