Alvin (Al) Henry Balzer

November 7, 1945 - March 25, 2024

Al was born November 7, 1945 in Langham,  Saskatchewan and passed away into the presence of his Savior March 25, 2024 in Abbotsford.  He grew up in Mission  and was the 5th of 9 siblings.  Predeceased by his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother he is survived by his wife Dorothy, their children and spouses; grandchildren and spouses and significant others and great grandsons. He loved his family and many friends.    Al worked in the trucking industry, owning his own trucking company.  After retiring he enjoyed seeing the country while driving trucks, motorhomes etc. for Fraserway RV.  He especially enjoyed the friends he worked with.  A special thanks to the Emergency Staff and Doctors that treated and helped Al during his last days in hospital.

Thanks to Wiebe and Jeske from the Balzer family.

Snagging cedar blocks out of the river at Meeker’s and sending them into the mill would have been almost unbearably grueling had it not been for partner Al’s enjoyable personality (and the paycheque, of course). He was a great guy!
