Ann Pastoor (Kleine)

December 19, 1931 - October 7, 2025

Tribute

Ann  Kleine  was born on December  19th, 1931  in the town of Oosterhesselen ,  Drenthe,  The Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada in 1953, following her “beau”   Alec, who along with some of his  family had immigrated the prior year. They were married in Ladner  BC ,on  July 22, 1954,and that is where  their home was for many years.

Their   family grew.  They   were blessed with seven  children, and also opened their home up to many foster children. Together, Ann and Alex built a life rooted in deep faith which carried them through many changes and challenges, including many moves.  Eventually they settled in the Fraser Valley and retired in Abbotsford.

Always a quiet and faithful servant, Ann devoted many years volunteering at the Bibles for Missions Thrift Store.

The family is eternally grateful to all who faithfully visited Ann over the years, and for the care and support   provided to her in the past year, which allowed her to remain in her beloved home until 3 days before her passing.

Ann passed away peacefully into the Lord’s presence on Oct 7, 2025 at the age of 93 at Cascades Hospice in Chilliwack BC, surrounded by many family members.

Left to hold her dear to their hearts are her children ( Jody daughter-in-law),  John (Lori) ,Hilda (Howie), Sandy (John), Wendy (John), Mona (Marty), and Che, along with  22 grandchildren, 49 great grand children  and one great great  grandson.

A  memorial  service will be held on Saturday October 18th, 2025 at 1.00 pm at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 34631 Old Clayburn Rd., Abbotsford BC.

Refreshments to follow.

Relation: Mijn tante

Dear family,

Dear Pastoor family. Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ann, your dear mother and oma. We remember Ann as a kind person, who always enjoyed our “gezellige” Dutch chats! You’re in our thoughts during this difficult time. May the beautiful memories you have bring you peace and strength for now and the future.
With deepest sympathy and love! Herman & Riet
