Tribute
Anne Barbara Leippi (nee Klemenz) was born on April 30, 1918 near Horizon, Saskatchewan to Michael and Theresia Klemenz. She passed away peacefully at Fraser Health Heritage Village with family by her side on March 15, 2015.
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Theresia; her husband Adolph; brothers Mike, Frank, Nick, John, Bill; sisters Lena Popescue, Betty Houston, Teresa Nagy, Eva Kellington, Katie Jackle, brothers-in-law Samuel Hintz, Reinholdt Hintz.
Anne leaves to mourn her only child, Carl, his wife Kim, grandchildren Christopher (wife Melanie Leippi), Kerry (husband Roger Keast),great-grandchildren Roger, Anthony, Melody, Madeleine, and Morgan; sisters, Gertie Moss and Mary Miller; brothers Rudy (Ida) and Henry (Beth) Klemenz; inlaws Keith and Regina Marshall, Chris Hintz, Ted Hintz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She moved to Chilliwack from Alberta with her husband Adolph in 1992. After Adolph’s passing, she moved to an independent living facility for seniors where she enjoyed meeting new people and the activities provided. In 2009, Anne moved to Heritage Village Residential Care in Chilliwack where she resided until her passing. The family would like to express their gratefulness and acknowledge the staff at Heritage not only for the physical care that she received while there, but also for the activities and personal interaction that the individual staff members provided. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to Heritage Village by going to the website at: http://www.fvhcf.org/ . She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by us all.
Interment service for the family will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00PM on March 21, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 9460 Charles Street, Chilliwack, BC, V2P 6H7.

Anne was a wonderful Aunt and a very good friend to her sister my Mother Betty Houston. We lived far apart but whenever we talked on the phone we would pick up where we left off. Anne would tell stories of her and my Mom such as working in Regina, or dressing up as men and walking up to the old farm to surprise everyone. This was in the 40’s. They were always up to something when they got together. Another memory is the pointing fingers…I remember Anne and her sister Katie stopping in the middle of the mall in Regina facing each other to have a serious discussion and both pointing their index fingers at each other…it was priceless…they did not even notice anyone around them. So many good memories, Anne will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carl and Kim and family at this time. Love Leslie and Trevor Jones
