Arthur (Bob) Robert Pearson
May 22, 1940 - November 23, 2025
Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bob. Arthur Robert Pearson (Bob), aged 85, passed away on November 23, 2025 after a very brief illness. A huge loss to all who knew him.
Survived by wife of 40 years, Linda whom he affectionally called ‘My Linda’ and his children Jason (Rosa) and grandsons Cole and Ben, daughter Tracy (Tony) grandchildren Connor and Nicole (Alex) and daughter Shannon (Paul). In addition to his traditional role as Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Bob is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and was the beloved Opa to Leito and Yuzuki, and Uncle to Warren and Ayano Mirko. Predeceased by his mother Doris Hill, and brother John Pearson (2025).
At age 23, Bob found his calling when he joined Universal Appraisal Company Ltd., a company founded in 1935. He went on to get his AACI accreditation and specialized in technical appraisal, working throughout Canada and into the Northern USA. In 1979, Bob partnered with Jack Watts to purchase the company. Bob loved appraisal and was thrilled when his son Jason joined the company in 1997 and subsequently purchased it in 2005. Bob continued to work casually until his retirement at the age of 70 which he referred to as joining the geriatric generation.
Bob and Linda loved to entertain family and friends in their home and garden; Bob was renowned for his expert pies and BBQ.
Bob loved to garden, woodwork and was a consummate handyman. You could always find him in his vegetable garden, his shop or his favorite store Lee Valley. From meticulously maintained gardens to expertly crafted charcuterie boards and custom woodworking projects, Bob was a perfectionist in all he did. He was the goto home and garden guy.
Bob was not a ‘club’ kind of person but became a proud member of the The Shmenges Fishing Group. He cherished his fishing buddies and their annual trips to Douglas Lake Ranch and the Ocean. In this elite group Bob was known as S28 and the fishing Master-Baiter, catching the only fish on the last fishing trip.
Our thanks go out to our long-time family doctor, Dr. Duncan Miller – fondly known to the family as Dr. Dunc. Bob and Dr. Dunc shared a special relationship and for this we will always be grateful.
“May your glass forever be full, your spirit forever warm, and your company forever grand.”
Bob will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
A private celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
