Bernard Ben Thiesen

passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on January 11, 2012 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Ben was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan on October 24, 1921 and married Helen Kroeker in 1944 who pre-deceased him in September 2009. He was the founder and owner of Clearbrook Auto Metal and enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with Helen. Ben is survived by his six children Barb, Lorraine, Rita, Ben, Karen, and Wanda; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Although suffering from Alzheimer”s for more than a decade, Ben remained vital, active, and engaged in life until a few days before he passed. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2 p.m. at the Tabor Home located at 31954 Sunrise Crescent, Abbotsford BC. Please consider a donation to the Tabor Home “Cherry Lane” Alzheimer”s care ward in lieu of flowers.
