Tribute
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of
our beloved Mother, Oma, Sister and Aunt. She is predeceased by her husband Bernard in July 2016.
She is survived by sons Bernard, Edward, Richard and his wife Maureen, grandsons David & Daniel,
sister Sophie, her godson Achim (Annie) and many nieces and nephews.
Berta was born on August 15, 1931. In 1957 at the age of 26 she immigrated from Germany to Canada where she trained for and became a practical nurse. In 1962 she met and married Bernard in Vancouver, her husband of 54 years. Berta was devoted to her family where she raised 3 sons at home. She had a passion for gardening, enjoyed walks with family.
She expressed a strong devotion and dedication to her faith in the Lord and challenged all in theirs in so that after this life on earth we would once again be together in the presence of our Lord.
We know the sadness and grief will pass and our memories of her will be in our hearts forever.
You will be deeply missed.
