Tribute

Betty-Anne was born in Quill lake, Saskatchewan.  She was an avid figure skater and skated competitively with her cousin Bob.  She rode her bike most everywhere and enjoyed dancing, singing and being involved in the church.

She was 18 when the family packed up and moved to Fort Langey.  It was there she met her future husband Gordon at a dance hall.  They were married in 1957.  Betty has 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Betty-Anne was a caring and loving mother and grandmother.  She spent many an hour helping her children with their school work, teaching them to bake and can, and spent a lot of time on the sidelines cheering her children on in different sport events.

Her family was her life.  She enjoyed being surrounded by them, whether it be a birthday party, holiday event, trip to Disneyland or Sunday dinner.  Her happiest times were those spent with them.

Betty-Anne was an amazing baker.  All her children, their friends and neighborhood children would show up to devour her cinnamon buns, bread, cookies and chocolate cake.

Betty-Anne’s other big love was the church and the fellowship she found there.  She enjoyed listening to the word of the Lord, singing hymns and sharing her delicious baked goods with fellow parishioners.  It was in church that her true friendships were made.
