Caroline Fentie (Sitnik)
November 7, 1939 - July 31, 2019
Tribute
Caroline, aged 79 years passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack with family at her side. Born in Romania, she came to Canada in 1950 at the age of 11. She married in 1959 and lovingly raised her children worked hard running a business for many years. Caroline was a loving sister to Bob and Phillip (predeceased), Maria (Tom), Helga (John), Helene (Russ predeceased), Anita (Manfred) and Lily (Marty). She was a dedicated mother to four children: Tammy (Peter predeceased), Greg (Liz), Michael and Robert (predeceased); a beloved grandmother to Alexis (Mitch), Anthony (Hannah), Adam (Brittany), John (Asalie) and Dayton. She was also a treasured great grandmother to Jackson, Adriana, Matteo, Isabella, Bradley and Sophia. Beyond that she will be fondly remembered as “Sweet Caroline” by many. Caroline lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, cooking and spending time at Lily and Marty’s home on the river in Kamloops. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Her smile would always light up a room; she was strong, determined and independent and she devoted her life to taking care of her family and loved ones. She always thought of others before herself and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Family, friends and others whose lives Caroline touched are invited to Bradner Hall August 15th at 11 a.m. for a celebration of her life. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
