Tribute
Catarina (Tina) Siebert passed away Sept 24, 2022 in Abbotsford B.C. at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Jakob and Helena Epp, and her husband, Jacob in 2008. Tina was born in Montanai, Crimea, Ukraine May 31, 1927 as the fifth oldest of eight siblings. At the age of two, Tina and her family fled the Russian Revolution to Germany, and eventually settled as immigrants in Krauel, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was In Witmarzum, Brazil where she met and married Jacob Siebert, with whom she had two children, Monika and Ron. They immigrated to Canada in 1963, where they settled in Saskatchewan, followed by Vancouver, and then lastly Abbotsford. Tina left us with wonderful memories too numerous to count. Her outstanding cooking, crocheting, knitting, and most important of all, her deep love and commitment to family and her God are what we will remember about her most of all. Tina is survived by her two children, Monika Martens and Ron Siebert, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one sibling Friedrich Epp.

Tante Tina, was a remarkable lady. She cared deeply for her children, worked hard, was caring to her siblings, nieces and nephews. She was hospitable and often entertained serving her delicious meals. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
