Christien Hermien Klems

Tribute
Born in Indonesia during WW2, she spent her childhood in a prison camp along with her sister Joanne. This made her tough and resilient and taught her to always respect and help people.
She married our father Heinrich Klems when she was very young and together they raised two daughters, Margy, Ruby and a son, Ludwig (Louie). She was the kindest and most generous person we have ever known. Her love of cooking and her want to feed anyone who she came in contact with was one of her most endearing qualities. Along with her faith in god her entire life centred on family. It was very difficult at times but her strength always pulled us through.
Mom dearly missed our father after his sudden passing in 2005 but she found a new direction when her grandson Harrison was born. She dove into helping raise him to be the man he is today. Now he has his own family and mom got to spend time with her two great grandchildren Liam and Zaylen who always brought a smile to her face and love in her heart.
Mom is where she wants to be now, back with dad and all the pain, and general ups and downs of life have faded and been replaced with peace, love and the thing she wanted most to be at dad’s side for ever. You will be missed mom, you’ve earned and can enjoy the paradise you always believed heaven would be. We are sure dad was waiting for you at the gates to welcome you. RIP mom, thank you for all your love and sacrifices.
