Cecily (Lynn) Romanowski, 85 years old of Abbotsford, BC, passed away on Oct.17, 2016 peacefully in her sleep.
A celebration of her life will take place at the Quality Inn Conference Centre, 36035 N Parallel Rd, Abbotsford, BC on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:30 pm
Lynn was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on December 24, 1930. Daughter of Ruth and Maurice Parcels, Sister to Marie, Ethel and Alison and Harvey. She moved to British Columbia and met the love of her life, Fred Romanowski. Lynn and Fred married on April 12, 1952 in New Westminster and built their home in Coquitlam to raise their 4 children, Roxann, Rob, Suzanne and Rick. They lived there until they retired and moved to Grand Forks, BC. After Fred’s death Lynn moved to Abbotsford, BC and travelled with family to Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and many local sights. She always had a smile on her face and will be missed by family and friends.
She is survived survived by daughter Roxann VanBrakel; son, Robert Romanowski (Cindy); daughter, Suzanne Chiveldave (Rob); son, Rick Romanowski (Sue); Grandchildren: Sarah Schroeder (Mike); Jake VanBrakel; Neil Romanowski; Adam Romanowski; Ryan Chiveldave; and Alex Romanowski and Great-grandchild, Eric Schroeder.
Lynn is preceded in death by grand-daughter Christine and husband, Fred and now will now join them in the Lord’s care.
The family of Lynn Romanowski wishes to thank the staff of Tabor Court and Home in Abbotsford, for their support and care of Lynn these past few years.
