Dale Preston Linkletter

October 31, 1935 - August 27, 2022

Tribute

Dale Linkletter, aged 86,  passed away on August 27th, 2022 with family by his side. Predeceased by wife of 40 years Evelyn in 2000 and sisters Linda in 1999 and Norma in 2001. He is survived by his brother Doug and numerous nephews and nieces who shall miss his sharp wit, colorful language and thoughtful nature.

Dale was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and lived and worked throughout western Canada, residing in Abbotsford in his retirement years. Dale, a proud Teamster,  worked as trucker and in construction into his 70s and had a life long passion for horse racing.  Dale owned a race horse at age 16, and then went on to rent a box at Exhibition Park and travelled regularly with Evelyn to major race tracks in the US.  In his later years, Dale continued to follow the horses with a group of like minded pals at an off track betting facility.

Dale shall be truly missed by all who new him.

In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to a charity of choice or the Salvation Army in Dale’s name.
