anny went to his Heavenly Home on August 16th 2021. He was born in Ontario in 1932. He is greatly missed by his loving wife of almost 63 years ,Lois, and his four Children, grandchildren and family and friends. Danny’s eldest son Bryan (Leah) and granddaughter, Sloane, and second son, Kevin (Victoria) and grandson Shaun (Angel) and two great-grandchildren, and granddaughter Tracie. Danny’s third son Doug (Monica) and granddaughter Mackenzie (Jordan) and great-grandson Miles. Danny’s youngest child, daughter, LeaAnn (Kelly) and three grandchildren, Sierra (Shane) Jesse, and Brendan (Carsyn). Danny spent his working years driving the “Big Rigs” all over the USA and Canada. His last years were with Imperial Oil from which he retired. His greatest passion was singing Gospel songs. He sang and traveled with “Daystar” Gospel singing group for many years and went to many countries singing with Daystar. His second passion was hiking mountains and trails. He still hiked mountains in his early 70’s and in his late 70’s he hiked “Teapot Hill” trail in Chilliwack.. He loved hiking the Mt. Baker area and the Cheam Range and Mt. Yak. When moving back to Abbotsford in 2011 he hiked Discovery Trail weekly in good weather…and that was his last hike 4 days before his accident that eventually took his life. Danny was the kindest man to everyone and always went out of his way to help anyone in need. He never stopped asking his wife “how can I help you”. Danny loved to travel and his four children enjoyed camping and traveling as a family. Danny is now enjoying a wonderful reunion with his 10 siblings and parents and friends who left this earth before him. …

Relation: Long time friends
We have so many good memories of Danny over the years from camping trips in the US and BC, where Danny came face to face with a bear, to a trip the guys took around the Bowron Lakes, etc. No one could tell a story quite like Danny and his encounter with a turkey on the #1 may have trumped them all. And, although we had heard Danny sing in various groups over the years, we were not aware of such a gifted voice until the night we sat infront of you and Danny in church.
Our sincere condolences to you and your family Lois, grateful for the hope we have in Christ.
