David Alan Carscadden
August 21, 1959 - December 9, 2024
Tribute
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart, we announce the peaceful passing of David Carscadden on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 65.
David was born August 21st, 1959 in Toronto, Ontario.
He is survived by his brother Rob Carscadden, wife Nicole (Giffen) Carscadden, daughter Mercy Carscadden, sons Matt (Floyd), Micheal Carscadden, Grandchildren Keeton, Connor and at the time, Lincoln on the way, as well as numerous nephews and a niece.
David is predeceased by his parents Jack and Andrea and his brother John.
David grew up in Ontario enjoying a full life both equally quiet and wild at the same time, filled with much adventure. While his quiet side led him to peacefully watch his crime shows and documentaries, his adventurous and adrenaline seeking side steered him towards a love for speed and pushing the limits any chance he got.
This daring nature led David down many paths which included his love for cars, semi trucks and motorcycles. His love for motorcycles expressed itself through him professionally racing in his youth and a lifetime journey with his brothers, sharing a strong bond within those beliefs .
David’s hardworking and expressive nature excelled him in many areas of work, owning many semi trucks throughout his life which unfortunately may have kept him on the road, but satisfied the never ending drive he had to be a provider for those he loved. David’s life was anything but easy or normal for that matter, but throughout all his trials he maintained a strong love of family which he never wavered.
After his mom died in 2003, David found himself moving to British Columbia where he ended up encountering God, marrying Nicole; that lady he met on the bus, having his last child Mercy, while never losing the fondness and love of his life and family he left behind in Ontario.
In his latter years David in his new found love of God, honoured Him in the service of others and worked on being that father and husband he had always hoped he could be. He eventually left life on the road, sold his last truck and spent his final days working graveyards at Ruth & Naomi’s Mission, assisting the homeless and marginalized. He was being a light, while helping save many lives and positively impacting people with Jesus’ compassion and hope.
What David valued most was his family and friends and He will always be remembered for his tender and generous heart, his fearless nature and of course his endless stories of the crazy things he’d done, seen and been through. He will be deeply missed and remembered by many.
To his wife Nicole and daughter Mercy, David would also finish in saying
” Together Forever in All types of Weather”

On behalf of Janice, myself, and everyone at Lifeline Outreach Society, we extend our deepest condolences to Dave’s loved ones during this time of loss. It is with both sadness and gratitude that we honor the life of a man who brought so much joy, faith, and light into the lives of everyone he met.
Dave was truly one of a kind—a sincere, fun-loving man whose infectious laughter and quick wit could brighten any room. His strong faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions, his words, and his service to others. Whether he was sharing a moment of humor or lending a helping hand, Dave lived out his belief in God’s love and grace in the most genuine way.
As a volunteer with Lifeline Outreach Society, Dave’s heart for serving others shone brightly. He brought a spirit of encouragement and joy to every project he touched, always eager to make a difference in the lives of those around him. His dedication, humility, and compassion were an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Dave’s fun-loving nature was a gift, but it was his sincerity that left the deepest impact. He had a way of truly seeing people, of making each person feel valued and loved. His faith gave him a strength and peace that he freely shared with others, and his life was a reflection of the scripture found in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
To Dave’s family, please know that you are in our prayers and our hearts. His legacy of faith, love, and laughter will live on in the countless lives he touched. We pray that God’s comfort surrounds you during this time and that you find peace in knowing Dave is now in the presence of the Lord he loved so deeply.
Though his time here has come to an end, Dave’s spirit will always remain with us—a reminder to live with joy, to serve with humility, and to trust in God’s faithfulness. May we carry forward his example, shining the same light that Dave so beautifully shared with the world.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Janice and Dave
