Tribute
Dennis sailed into the arms of Jesus on March 3, 2022 at the age of 70 years after a short battle with cancer. He bravely navigated his journey and safely arrived on Heaven’s shores. Dennis held on to and treasured the truth of Psalm 91:2 during his life and illness: I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Dennis will forever be missed by his loving wife, Karin, three children, Jessica (Anthony), Dustin, and Brayden (Courtney) and five grandchildren: Justus, Lukas, Taylor, Emily, and Mackenzie. He also leaves behind his sister, Maureen (Larry) and her family and his sister-in-law, Hanni.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff of Abbotsford’s Palliative Care Unit and Holmberg House who gave such amazing care to Dennis in the final weeks.
His memorial service will be held on Monday, March 14 at 1:30pm at Ross Road Community Church, 3160 Ross Rd, Abbotsford, BC. All are welcome and we request that you wear a mask in order to comply with BC Health regulations.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Dennis to the “Abbotsford Hospice Society”. Donations are accepted in person or online: https://www.abbotsfordhospice.org/

Dear Karin and Family, Maureen, Larry and Family, and Hanni,
It is with a huge amount of sadness that we send you our condolences in the passing of Dennis. As you gather today as a family and with friends to lay to rest the body of Dennis, it is our prayer that the grace of God will bring the comfort to each of you in this time of loss and grief.
Even though our lives and close connection has been separated by many years, my (Ron’s) memory takes me back to our Rosedale Junior High School days when Dennis sought me out and befriended me to the youth group. Dennis’s invitation and gesture of kindness changed the course of my life for the good as a teen. Now more than 50 years later, as I reflect on who God placed in my life back then to influence me for the Lord and His Kingdom, Dennis is at the top of the list! Of course, there are many more good memories and experiences of a friendship in our young adult chapter of life.
Again, as you gather as a family, it’s our prayer that you’ll reflect on the influence that Dennis has been as a as husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend to many others, just like to me.
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ bring comfort and strength to these days of sadness and sorrow.
