Dianne Gracey
May 6, 1947 - September 26, 2016
Tribute
Late of White Rock, BC passed from this life September 26, 2016 at Irene Thomas Hospice after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife and sister, proud grandmother and dear friend to many. Those of us left behind are too many to list and that is a testament to her life. If she touched your heart during her years on this earth you know who you are; she is a part of you and always will be. My mom was one of the most caring people I, and many others had the honor of knowing. She was a unique combination of strength, compassion and fierceness. She would console you in your time of need, but did not shy away from letting you know when you were wrong. For that we loved her even more. In her last days, with Thanksgiving on the horizon, her unselfish thoughts were of us and leaving at such a special time for family. I give thanks for her life and for her feisty, maternal spirit. In keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral but instead a celebration of life which is planned for next year with details to be advised at a later date. The family asks that if you truly want to honor Di’s life, love your family and friends without boundaries, speak of her often, laugh, and set an extra seat at family dinners for someone who is alone or needs support because that is what she would do.
Until we meet again…

My condolences on the death of Dianne. I am so sorry for everyone who loved her. There are no words, there is nothing at all, to reduce or relieve the pain of your loss. Dianne and I met in Grade 6. We became fast friends. We shared so many great times during our junior high and high school days. Although we saw little of each other after high school, my feelings of warmth and friendship towards her never diminished. She was fun, enthusiastic, kind, always up for a prank or two. I was very happy the night she and Ken reconnected. My sympathy to Ken and to her family

My sincere condolences to Ken and family on the passing of Dianne. Dianne and I were high school friends. She was one of my bridesmaids so many years ago. Although we lost touch, seeing one another only at BNSS reunions, she remained in my mind. Now, with sadness, she will be forever in my thoughts. She was a lovely person and a good friend. With sincere sympathy, Aileen Waterston
