Tribute
Passed away peacefully on September 17, 2010 at the age of 78, with his daughters by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1985. He will be sadly missed by his loving companion Olive and her family. Don leaves behind his children Jean (Lloyd) of Victoria, Jim (June) of Langley, Rick (Charlene) of Coaldale, AB, Barb (Lota) of Mission, also 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and Volunteers at Christine Morrison Hospice for making Dad’s journey as comfortable as possible. A celebration of life will be held at Silverdale Community Hall on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 1pm , Reception to follow. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Victoria at Hatley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mission Hospice Society or the Cancer Society.
