Earl John Ward
July 9, 1927 - August 28, 2019
Tribute
After a life well and fully lived, Dad left this world on August 28, 2019. After a brief stay in the Palliative Care Unit of ARH, he passed peacefully with his wife of 68 years by his side.
Earl was born to John and Effie (Campbell) July 9, 1927 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan. He wed Micki Lee in 1951 and brought his growing family west in 1962, settling in Abbotsford, BC in 1965. Earl’s family was always his priority and source of joy. He loved coaching softball and supported his kids and grandchildren in all their endeavours. He is remembered for the love he demonstrated daily by treating others with respect and kindness. We’re filled with gratitude to have had the gift of him in our lives. He is survived by his loving wife, Micki; children Deb Howes (John), Bruce (Carol), Jerry (Deb) and Tony(Melinda); and sisters Dorie Loden and Melba Souch. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren whose lives were enriched by his loving presence. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Harold and sisters Mabel Meecher and Velma Porter.
Join us in celebrating Earl’s life at the Abbotsford Legion on September 29th between 2-5 pm.
