Egan Sieghard Roller

September 15, 1933 - September 21, 2025

Tribute

Egan Roller was born in Ellscott, Alberta to Ephraim and Maria (Grapentin) Roller on September 15, 1933. He had two older sisters, Emma and Irma, to welcome his birth, and later Elfrieda was born.

Egan married Lena Krahn in 1953 and they were joined by four daughters, Sherry (Elmer) Komant, Bonnie (Erik) Bidell, Darlene (Mervin) Komant, and LenAe Ballard (Mike Van Lokven). They hosted and fostered many along the way of life. From the Csontos clan, Sam and Lynn became permanent Roller family as well.

Egan grew up in scant times and became a hard worker at an early age. Although painfully shy, God called him to become a Pastor, and true to His promise to prepare those He calls, Egan became an outgoing friendly “German Shepherd”, stretching through different provinces and several areas of BC.

He gave his life to serving Jesus in many churches , often building a new structure for worship. Several times he built beautiful homes for his family to live in. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and joking around. When retirement was finally settled, they moved back to Abbotsford as home base, yet still did overseas Missions in Africa and Pastored in New Zealand.

Egan’s last years met with health challenges that included dementia. His girls gave care over him and their mom for many years. They were living at Menno Home in Abbotsford when his wife graduated to Glory, October 22, 23. They were surprised he rallied after her passing, as checking to see if “Mom was okay“ seemed to be his main concern and purpose for living.

Continued health issues aged him and the family rejoiced at his day of freedom, September 21, 2025, at midday. No more pain! No more suffering!

Now he REALLY is living for eternity with Jesus and all those who joyfully welcomed him to his new home in Heaven.

Egan is survived by his 4 girls, grandchildren and great grandchildren, plus Sam and Lynn and their loved ones, a smattering of nieces and nephews, in-laws, and ALL of the Family of God still living with purpose today!
