Eileen Margreta Wiens (Epp)

Tribute
Eileen passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Abbotsford Hospital. Eileen is survived by her husband; Walter, four children; Colleen (Steve) Penner, Michael Wiens, Tamara (Gilbert) Knapp, and Tracey (Zdeno) Rusnak; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and sister Lois Schroeder. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerhard and Bertha Epp, two sisters, Wanda (Albert) Neufeld, and Anna (Cornelius) Fieguth, and three brothers, Albert, Gilbert and Edgar Epp. Eileen’s life was her family and playing the piano which she did for numerous congregations, choirs, groups, quartets, trios, and soloists for 67 years. She was born in Laird, Saskatchewan, then moved to BC in 1948. She graduated from Philip Sheffield High School in Abbotsford in 1952, married Walter Wiens in 1955, and celebrated 62 years of marriage.
