Elaine Marie Beatch (Amberg)

July 8, 1927 - January 14, 2023

Tribute

Elaine Marie Beatch (nee Amburg) passed away peacefully at Menno Home in Abbotsford on January 14, 2023, after a long battle with dementia aged 95 years old.  She was born in Vancouver  on July 8, 1927.

She is survived by her sister Grace Brennan and brother Eugene Amburg as well as her seven children: Mary Carter (and spouse Ed Carter), Tim Beatch,  Kathy Hinton (and spouse Chris Hinton), Ken Beatch (and spouse Mena), Gerry Beatch, Joanne Soullie (and spouse Nick Soullie)  and Greg Beatch (and spouse Cindy).  She also has seventeen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Mom loved three things in life profoundly: God, her husband and her children.  That love expanded to include all others in her family and circle of friends.  She is remembered by her children as a loving and very hard working mother.  Once her children grew up she became very involved in her church and community, volunteering whenever and wherever she could help out.  She also loved the ocean and was swimming and kayaking into her 80’s.

We will miss her beautiful smile, warm and optimistic spirit and especially her can-do attitude.

Prayers will be offered  Wednesday, January 25 at 7 p.m. at  St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 32550 – 7th Avenue,  Mission where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 26 at 11 a.m.

If you would like to attend or have any questions, please email jtsoullie@gmail.com
