Tribute
Born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on March 6, 1927, Ella passed away in the Menno Home on June 16, 2015. Ella will be dearly missed by her six children: Karen (Tom) Hynd, Sandra (David) Fenton, Robert (Kerri) Onken, Susan (Gary) Matthews, Diana Onken, Debra (Alan) Krause as well has 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ella will also be remembered by her sister Polly (Monty) Montemurro and her brother Fred (Hazel) Mitchell. Ella worked hard throughout her life in many roles and retired in 1993 after working for years as a Rural Route mail carrier in Abbotsford. However the job she was most proud of was raising her 6 children on her own. Ella loved to have fun and share a good laugh. In her life she loved to knit and play games including bowling, cribbage, word puzzles and Bingo. The family is extremely thankful for all the compassion and care that Ella received from the staff at the Menno Home. A celebration of Ella’s life will be held July 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Best Western conference Centre, 32110 Marshall Road.
