Elsie Mary Stanko (Siebert)

Tribute
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Elsie Mary, born February 16, 1949 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was the oldest of eight children born to Mary and Peter Siebert.
Elsie passed into the arms of Jesus on March 10th, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her children; Charmaine (Ronald), Craig, and Christopher (Anna); siblings and friends and she will be dearly missed. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Al (who she was married to for more than 50 years); her loving mother Mary and father Peter.
Elsie enjoyed singing and was in various singing groups throughout the years. She loved animals, seldom would you see her without a dog on her lap. She taught ESL to international students for many years. She travelled to Japan and enjoyed learning about other cultures.
Elsie leaves behind a legacy to her children for her Love of Jesus and her cheery, warmhearted and generous heart.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, March 25th at South Abbotsford Church at 2 pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Elsie to Alzheimers’ Society of BC; Diabetes Canada or Heart and Soul (dog and cat rescue).
Mom we love you and thank you for being our mother. Your presence will be deeply missed but you will be Forever In Our Hearts!
