Tribute
Ernie Sawatsky was born Sept 2, 1929 in Arnaud, Manitoba and passed away July 4, 2018 at Chilliwack, BC following a sudden illness. He is deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Rita; his children Russ (Etsuko), Rob (Judy), Donna and Glenn (Linda); his stepchildren Brenda (Richard) and Jackie; his grandchildren Ryan (Amy), Kyle (Stephanie), Olivia (Dominik), Rika, Keila, Aisha, Aaron, Tyler, Mariah, Claire-Rose and Melissa; his sister Helen; and, numerous nephews and nieces. Ernie was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth, brothers John and Peter, and sisters Hilda and Lillian.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Arthritis Society.
Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 12 at 1 PM at Eden Mennonite Church, Chilliwack.
