Evlyn Ruth Perrier
August 23, 1932 - August 4, 2010
Tribute
Our mother, Ruth Perrier, age 78 years, passed away peacefully
at the Chilliwack General Hospital, on Wednesday, August 04, 2010 with
her loved ones by her side.
Ruth was born on August 23, 1932 in Port Arthur, ON to Robert
and Ellen Robinson. Our mom married Wilfred Perrier in 1956 and they
raised six children together. Mom worked at the Lakehead Psychiatric
Hospital until her retirement in the 80”s, at which time her and dad moved west to
BritishColumbia. She spent her time between dad, us kids,
her church and friends. When not playing board games with family and friends, mom could be found reading, doing crosswords and sudoku or hovering over her latest
jigsawpuzzle. She also enjoyed her walks in the park, only
stopping when her health no longer allowed.
Ruth will be missed by her loving children: Evelyn Perrier(Chris Gamey),
Wilfred (Pam Jacks) Perrier, Clifford Perrier, Gerald (Laura) Perrier,
Lawrence (Carol) Perrier, and Lucille (Rod) Simpson; her sister Doris
Schraeder and brothers Howard (Margaret) Robinson and Robert
(Amy) Robinson.
She also left behind to mourn her 13 grandchildren, 9 great
grandchildrenand 1 great great granddaughter. Many nieces,
nephews and other relatives also survive. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Wilfred in 1991.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ruth”s” life will be held at
Sardis Park, Chilliwack, B.C. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
Care is in the hands of Weibe & Jeske Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke or the Canadian
Cancer Foundationin Ruth”s name would be greatly appreciated.
