Late of Abbotsford, quietly passed away in hospital, surrounded by friends. George was born in Moose Jaw, Sask. and though his lifetime lived in Winnipeg, Calgary and several locations in the lower mainland. After leaving farming at a young age due to his health, his career included running Foreign Auto Service, service manager for Nissan of Canada, operator for Gulf Oil and accounting for Carter & Associates. He will be missed by a host of friends and his family. George is survived by a brother and sister, Gordon (Judy) Carter of Naperville, Illinois and Berna (Vince) Frattaroli of Calgary. He is predeceased by his parents Herbert (Bert) and Wilma Carter. At George’s request no service will be held at this time. The family will gather at a later date for burial in the family plot in Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA.
