Tribute
As a family we are saddened to announce the death of a much loved husband to Mary, father to Blake and Deirdre, grandfather to Cedar and Finn, brother to Ted, Kathleen and David, and wonderful uncle to his many nephews and nieces. Gordon was an educator, mentor and friend to many all his life and will be greatly missed. Gordon lived many happy years in Langley and worked as an inspirational teacher at Brookswood Secondary before moving to Chilliwack where he happily spent the last 10 years of his life. All are welcome to a Celebration of Life for Gordon to be held Friday, May 19th between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Coast Hotel in Chilliwack .

I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a great teacher and loved by so many of his past students. He was cool, kind and so much fun. Halloween dressed up as a greaser and Miss Fitton on the back of his motorcycle!!! Awesome. Great memories.

So sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. He was an inspirational teacher with a genuine interest in his students and making his subject come alive. He also was a supportive counselor when I first came to Brookswood. He not only helped students but was also a refuge and mentor for a young teacher. I took him all of my problems! I also remember his children and Carol at Brookswood. The Wilson family were a part of the fabric of the school. I was always glad when Gord and his wife returned to the school for special events after he retired. I will miss my friend.
