Gwendolyn Erika Nadeau passed away June 27, 2025 at the age of 84 at Abbotsford Hospital.
Gwen was born in Glen Park, Alberta and lived on the family farm until her family moved to BC when she was a teen. Gwen was in high school attending Langley Secondary when she met the love of her life. Shortly after graduating, she married Barry.
Gwen and Barry had three children. With Barry serving in the Air Force, Gwen experienced both upheaval and adventure, living in many places across Canada and in Europe. After Barry retired from the Air Force, they returned to BC buying an acreage and developing a small hobby farm in Aldergrove. Gwen had enjoyed 27 years of marriage when unexpectedly Barry passed away.
Gwen stayed on the farm. She loved her garden and her flowers and the countryside. She served in her church, supported family and friends and volunteered in the community. Over the years Gwen’s dream of a university education came to fruition and she graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in Human and Social Development at the age of 55. Gwen’s most recent activities included reading, knitting and painting birds.
Gwen is survived by her children Teresa Flick (Duane), Lorne Nadeau (Janie), Jen Martin (Steve), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
