August 8, 1942 - August 4, 2021

Tribute

A beloved husband, grandfather, brother and friend – Harry was born August 8, 1942, and passed away August 4, 2021.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie; sons Gregory and William (Jennifer); and three grandchildren; Helena, Marcus and Nigel as well as his sister Angie and other relatives and friends.  Harry was predeceased by his parents Bert and Ada and sister Lorraine.

Harry was born in Smithers and his family settled in Abbotsford in 1953.  At a young age, Harry learned from his father the trade of an autobody repair man.  He eventually went on to take over his father’s business in 1969.  He also loved farming and for a while went into hog farming before returning back to the profession he learned in his youth.  Harry enjoyed playing and watching hockey and softball.  He shared his love of cooking with the family, creating many fond memories of homemade breads, cinnamon buns, soups and pizza.

He is missed.
