Tribute

It is with deep sadness that we announce  that Harvey Smith aged 86 years of age passed away peacefully December 16th at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC. Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Gladys, four children Alice (Dave), Rodney (Korey), Diane Francis and Angela Morrow, six grandchildren Summer, Riley, Micaela, Mathew, Anna and Brooke, as well as many relatives.  Harvey was born in Montreal, Quebec on April 5th, 1930 and he is predeceased by his mother Lillian Piercy, father Ruben Smith, and his three brothers, Ruben, Edward, and John. Greg, Carol, Lori, and Ian Breland meant the world to Harvey and he said they were always part of our little family. Harvey was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Pops) and a friend to anyone who met him. Harvey will be remembered for his years on roller-skates and being a member of the Kent Raceway Roller-Skate Club. Harvey enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was proud of each one of them in his own special way. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at C.G.H. who showed so much compassion for our family and father. Very special thanks to Dr. Bull and the Cascade Hospice for their loving care for his final days of life.  A celebration of life was held at the family home with   ll loved ones. Memorial donations may be made out to the Cascade Hospice, Chilliwack, BC.
