Tribute
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Isobel Lockwood, age 81, on March 19, 2015. Helen was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Shepherd) Duncan. She attended the University of Manitoba where she was the first woman to study Geological Engineering. She was a member of the Chilliwack Probus Club, Ryder Lake Women's Institute and loved her get togethers with her rug-hooking and quilting friends and Thursday morning coffee chats. She was always ready to try new traveling adventures including a recent trip to South America and New York City. She is survived by her son Carey (Leslie), Nanaimo B.C.; daughter, Sharon (Donald) Robertson, Truro, N.S. and greatly missed by her grandchildren Jillian (Chris) Lacasse, Dover, New Hampshire; Robert Lee Robertson (Mary Beth), Halifax, N.S. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Carey and her son Brian. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home at 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack. on Wednesday April 1, from 10 am till noon.”
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society.

Helen was a lovely person. I will miss her.She would bring in a huge rug and set it up. It took ages. I hope she was able to finish it. I did not see her as much as I would have liked. Rest in Peace Helen. God Bless .
