Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Helen Louise States.
Mom was born in Centreville, K.C. Nova Scotia. She leaves a hole in the hearts of her daughters Heather, Tammy and adored granddaughters Ria Louise and Autumn Helene. Predeceased by youngest sister, Phyllis and survived by siblings Birdie, Dodie, Joyce, Anne, Lorne, Shirley and Doug.
Mom left her home in Kentville, Nova Scotia on the golden paved highway to B.C. in 1960. With a detour in Montreal she arrived in B.C. in 1968. She spent the bulk of her working career at Weiser Lock with 24 years of service. Mom’s always been a Burnaby girl with down home heart. She enjoyed her fishing trips, bowling and many a late nights playing hand and foot. Mom will be remember mostly for her epic BBQ’s in her little brown house in Burnaby. She leaves behind many friends with special mention of The Ferguson’s, The Finch’s and Weiser Lock pal Donna Scott. At her request there will be no funeral service. condolences
