Tribute
Henry De Jong was taken in the arms of his Lord to his heavenly home on September 16, 2020. Henry was born February 2, 1934 to Tienus and Jeltje De Jong in Echtenerbrug, Friesland, The Netherlands. He was one of ten children. Henry was predeceased by his wife, Tieny. He is survived by four daughters: Mona (Harvey), Linda (Michael), Arlene (Bart), and Charlene (David) as well as his foster daughter Leanne (Ken). He was also blessed with five grandchildren: Chelsea, Geoffrey, Janessa, Daniel and Aria. Henry is survived by five sisters, two brothers and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Henry was a man of few words who was wise and displayed a gentle, steady strength. His strong faith was evident throughout his life. Henry’s presence will be greatly missed. His family will celebrate his life on Tuesday, September 22nd at 10:30 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 32515 Tretheway Street, Abbotsford.
