Tribute
On April 27, 2016 at 5:40 pm, the Hildebrand/ Bargen family said auf Wiedersehen to an amazing woman who courageously battled cancer for 6 years. Hildegard Hildebrand (Bargen), born in Friesland, Paraguay, 1943, was predeceased by brother Erwin, sister Agnes, and husband Peter Hildebrand, who she married in 1962 and shared 51 glorious years with. Left to carry on her memory and recipes are: daughter Jennifer; son Mike; grandchildren Courtney and Alanna Burkholder; Selby; Peter (Twyla, Naomi, Karsten); Monika (Mark); siblings Lena, Lisa (Alfred), Henry (Gloria), Margaret (Hans); as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Many were blessed and fed through her 20+ years of work as a cook at Pinegrove Place Intermediate Care Home in Richmond, B.C. We rejoice in knowing that she is with her saviour, likely preparing the banquet for our heavenly reunion. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at 11:00am at Sherbrooke Mennonite Church, 7155 Sherbrooke Street, Vancouver, BC.
