Tribute
Jake passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 89. He is survived by his daughter Terri Lynn (Barry) Rempel, 2 grandchildren Justin (Allison) and Jessica Rempel, 3 great grandchildren Ty, Brielle and Crew, 4 brothers Abe, Ike (Lee), Dave (Jess), and John (Mary); 2 sisters Tiena Epp and Lena (John) Neufeld; brothers-in-law Vern Bartel and Abe Heide and other relatives and friends. Jake was predeceased by his wife Tina, brother Henry and sisters Lil Bartel, Nettie Wiebe and Sue Heide. a memorial service will be held Friday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Sevenoaks Alliance Church. Donations in memory of Jake may be made to Food for the Hungry Canada – www.fhcanada.org.

I knew Mr.Jake though my place of work. I would call him Mr.Jake and he would laugh and say call me,Jake,just Jake. He was a special person always ready to smile and chat. I have already been asked where is the man collecting the bottles for the kids and when they have been told he has passed on they express there condolences for the family. I myself will miss our talks when he stopped by my work or when I met him just out walking. I use to tell people it takes only one person to help change the world and make it a better place and Jake did more than his share. He will be missed but not forgotten.
My condolences to all his family and friends, I will miss you Mr.Jake.

Life….so fragile, Loss….to soon, Hearts….so broken, Jake was a special man who would allways smile and say Hi. Jake lived behind our gas station and would come by a few times a day to see if there were any cans or bottles as we had customers who leave us there’s for Jake. He lived his life with courage and grace. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Hugs and prayers to the family . Marg Roy and David ,Fraserway Esso.
