Jocelyn Teresa Julien

January 16, 1955 - June 11, 2026

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jocelyn Teresa Julien, who passed peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Abbotsford, British Columbia, in the presence of family and friends.

Born in Trinidad to Alberto Camacho and Maria Teresa Abreu, Jocelyn was a vibrant, energetic and free‑spirited woman. She immigrated to Ontario in the 1970s, where she lived and worked for many years. During a visit to British Columbia in the mid‑1990s she fell in love with the province’s beauty—the mountains reminded her of Trinidad—and she eventually made Abbotsford her home. Although she missed the family and friends she left in Ontario and Trinidad, she built a warm circle of close friends in Abbotsford, who meant a great deal to her.

Jocelyn was personable, quick‑witted, and known for her dry humour. She loved to joke and laugh with others and was generous in spirit, always ready to help and give to those around her. Her big personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Nerissa (Prakie), her sons Jude (Leigh‑Anne) and Joshua, and her grandchildren. She was a grandmother to five grandchildren: Jonah, Josiah, Sabrina, Gabriel and Isaac. Jocelyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.

Funeral services for Jocelyn will held at St James Church at 11am on June 16.  Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.  May she rest in peace.

If  friends wish,  a donation in Jocelyn’s memory  to Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation, 32900 Marshall Road, Abbotsford  V2S 0C2, www.fvhcf.ca would be appreciated.
