John Janzen
July 23, 1930 - October 20, 2021
Tribute
John was born to Henry Janzen and Suzanna (Friesen) Janzen in Standoff, Alberta.
He was one of six children of which three have predeceased him. When he was 14
years old the family moved to BC.
In BC John met his wife, Helga Unger, and they married in 1950. They had two
children, Carol and Gary. They had just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary
August 19th , 2021.
John had a sheet metal business for twenty-eight years. He enjoyed fishing trips in
Spring and Fall. His hobbies were gardening and cultivating bonsai trees.
Carol and her family live in New Zealand and John and Helga would visit them
many times. Gary and his family live in BC.
They spent their winters in Arizona. They travelled across Canada in 1995 and
also went on several cruises to Alaska. They enjoyed their retirement together.
John is survived by his wife Helga, their two children, six grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters.
“John, we will miss you dearly. Jesus will take care of you. Good-bye until we
meet again. We love and miss you so much.
You were a wonderful husband and a great father.”
