John Frank Kish
January 1, 1927 - August 14, 2019
Tribute
John was born in Backa Topola, Yugoslavia and immigrated to Sumas Prairie with his mother Viktoria at the age of 7, reuniting with his father Louis who had come 5 years earlier. He is survived by his children, Larry, Vickie (Bruce), Johnny, Kathy (Doug), and Darren; grandkids Andrea (Cale) and Brian; great grandkids Keaton, Evangeline and Axel; sisters Betty Deputan and Carol Woodward; nieces and nephews and friends. John was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Betty and his brother Louis (Marie). Please join us to celebrate his life Thursday, September 12, any time between 2 and 5 p.m., to share memories and refreshments at Chilliwack Golf and Country Club, 41894 Yale Road West, Chilliwack.
Dad will be greatly missed but in our memories forever. He lived a good, long, fulfilled life and will be remembered for his love of family, friends, sports and his love of business. Special thanks to Dr. Glen Collingridge and Terry Broadworth for years of care and supportive friendship and to Bonnie Corcoran, his wonderful friend and companion.

I had the privilege of visiting with John many times when he would be coming or going to his mountain properties at Lake Mount near our farm. He always took the time to stop and chat a while when we were around. He was a kind and cheerful man and I always appreciated his insights and his friendship. Condolences to his entire family, he will truly be missed.

Dear Carole, Betty and Vickie, I am sorry for the death of your brother and dad. I only met John once when you, Vickie, were a little girl. I liked him and your mom. They were very down to earth people . I still have raspberry plants that Viktoria gave me in about 1972 as a housewarming gift. I have many warm memories of the Kish family .

Condolences to you and your wonderful family. John was a tremendous, warm, sincere, hard working, loyal business friend during the late 50’s through to the late 60’s. He had an energetic and personality and was always fun to be around with. In my 60 years of construction life John will always be remembered as one of the best that I have worked with.

Jack and I are sorry we are unable to attend his “ celebration of life” on Thursday Sept, 12th . Unfortunately I broke my foot and it is very difficult to walk and with Jack unsteady because of previously broken hips, we are a very unstable pair.
