peacefully, went to be with the Lord, September 20, 2014 at the age of 79 years. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Toni; 2 daughters, Joanne Langelaar (Jim) and Connie (Ivor) Venema; 7 grandchildren: Jonathan (Becky), Peter (Nicole), Patricia (Shane), Joel (Jennien), Robin (Chris), Randi (Brandon) and Luke (Vanessa); 4 great grandchildren; sister Joop Schut and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wim and Riet Meurs in Holland; and many other relatives and friends. His memorial service will be held Thursday, September 25 at 1 p.m. at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 34631 Old Clayburn Road, Abbotsford.
