Tribute
It is with an extremely heavy heart, we announce the passing of our most beloved Husband and Father, Jonathan Hill. His sudden and untimely departure has left us broken hearted. We are grieving, but not without hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is predeceased by his parents Calvert Hill, 1961 and Joan Rothman, 2013. Jonathan is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (Remple) of 35 years, son David, his sister Sylvia Tkalitch (Chicago), his much loved in-laws; Leonard and Judy Remple, John and Jill (Remple) Enns, Daniel Remple, nephews and niece, family and many friends.
Jonathan was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 27, 1951. He met Shirley in Dallas, at an LPA Conference in 1978, moved to Canada in 1980 to marry Shirley. Jonathan passionately loved working for Power to Change. He had an unwavering, steadfast love for his Lord Jesus Christ. He felt his job enabled him to vicariously go on mission trips. Jonathan was also actively involved in Little People of America (LPA) and Little People of B.C. (LPBC). He enjoyed sports, coffee, cruising, “Trucker Josh” (You Tube), reading: especially mysteries, witty humour, bookkeeping and woodwork….but mostly his wife and son. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, November 20, 2015 at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford, B.C., V4X 1X5
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given “in memory of Jonathan Hill”, Power to Change, 20385 –64th Avenue, Langley, B.C., V2Y 1N5. Envelopes provided at the service.
Casual attire preferred – that’s the way Jonathan liked it.

I have had the pleasure of working with the Hill family in the past. All of them leave a special memory in you heart. As I spent time with David I came to share in many family moments. Dear Shirley and David,
Our family(Mike, Elisha, Rachel and Elma) are so sad to hear of John’s passing, but are delighted to know he is with the Lord. We right across the aisle from him every Sunday and always enjoyed a chat, Rachel had a special friendship with him. We will miss him very much, he was a wonderful friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both, may God be your portion during this difficult time.

12/11/2017, I read yesterday an old post on FB of Jon’s passing. We were good friends who attended Grammar & HS together. We enjoyed all sports & hanging out after school together. I am sorry that Jon is no longer with us and give my condolences to family members and loved ones.
