Joyce Brient (Popick)
March 4, 1932 - September 14, 2019
Tribute
We are saddened to announce the passing of our mom, Joyce Brient, at ARHCC. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Jim Brient on October 25, 2010, also by sisters Kay Keller, Ann Iwaniuk, Phylis Hodge and Tilly Oyhenart and two brothers Steve and Harry Popick. Joyce is survived by two sons, Rick (Rose) Delorme and Ron (Bonnie) Delorme; daughter Janet (Dennis) Morphy; sister Pollyanna Popoff; and sister-in-law Betty DenAdel. Joyce had 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. She loved going to the casino and fishing with Jim. She like to knit until her eyesight started to fail and she enjoyed cooking and her flower baskets. She will be dearly missed by her close friends Jo and Bonnie Alain, Lea Reisig and Linda Ferraro and her friends and the staff at Hallmark on The Park. We thank the staff and residents at Hallmark for everything they have done.
Celebration of life will be held Monday, September 30th between 10 a.m. and noon at Hallmark on The Park, 3055 Princess Street, Abbotsford, and at 2 p.m. at the home of Roy and Linda Ferraro, 34845 Mt. Blanchard Drive, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Children’s Hospital.

Dear Janet, Rick, Ron and families,
We were saddened to hear of the loss of your mother, my Auntie Joyce. I have fond memories of her when visiting B.C. as a child with my parents. My father often spoke of his wonderful sister. Both Mark and I enjoyed seeing her at the Popick family reunion. Aunt Joyce, together with Pollyanna and Tillie, came to Thunder Bay to support us when my Dad died and for that we are forever grateful.
