Judy Wiens

August 8, 1958 - February 28, 2016

Tribute

It is with extremely heavy hearts we announce the passing of Judy May Wiens on February 28, 2016.  Born on August 8, 1958 in the city of Golden, BC to Jim and Kay Paul.  Judy will be remembered for her extreme generosity and warm heart, she was a woman who clearly saw her purpose as that to brighten and nurture the lives of all those around her.  She was always one to put her family before absolutely anything, and even in tough times her prime concern was that of helping others before helping herself.  A truly beautiful woman inside and out, who always exuded an immense passion and love of her family.  Judy fought a courageous fight against ALS before being taken from us far too soon at the age of 57.   She is survived by her loving husband Larry, her 5 children Clint, Clayton, Hayley, Brett and Tyler, her Mother Kay Paul, and her siblings Wendy Peterson, Carol Wilson, Dwayne Paul, and Ole Paul, daughter in laws Kendra and Jacquelyn, her 4 grandchildren Kayla, Dylan, Ethan and Noah, along with many nieces and nephews.  She will be remembered most as our loving and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, but most importantly a genuinely loving and beautiful person who always managed to bring the best out of every situation in life.  A memorial service in honour of Judy will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Church of Nazarene at 2390 McMillan Road, Abbotsford, BC.

Relation: Judy was our housekeeper

Judy was our housekeeper for several years. She was one of the most genuine people we knew. She was an extremely hard worker and someone who took great pride in her work. She was amazing to our two girls and was so very kind. She would leave positive notes on their chalkboards in their rooms and they would rush home to see what Judy wrote them going back and forth with their chalkboard conversations. We really missed her when she finally took some time for herself. She always talked about her family with great fondness. She was so amazing. Our family was deeply saddened to hear of her passing today. Condolences to her whole family. Rest in Peace

Our very heartfelt sympathy and condolences to your family. ALS is a terrible disease. Have many happy memories of chasing with Judy at soccer fields and campgrounds at soccer tournaments. Shared much laughter and “parenting” stories. She was a lovely person inside and out. We were away from home at her memorial or would certainly have been there.
