Julie Telford (Nee Sommers) of Abbotsford, B.C passed away on April 22, 2019 after a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. At the age of 69 Julie has gone on to her heavenly home; no longer in pain or discomfort.
Julie was born in Comox, B.C on May 9, 1949. She was the eldest child of Ken and Doris Sommers and had a career as a lab tech before marrying James Telford in 1985. She joined James in the Abbotsford area and started a new chapter of her life on a dairy farm.
Julie loved her family and church family. She enjoyed traveling, seeing and experiencing the world and different cultures. Julie also enjoyed many hobbies, such as water painting, piano playing and sewing.
Predeceased by her parents, Julie is survived by her husband James Telford; son Josh (Rebecca), stepchildren Jeff (Faro), and Jaime (Greg); grandchildren Ciara (Scot), Xavier, Sidney, Zander, Maddisson and David and great grandchildren Kyla and Tristan; sisters Cindy (Jamie), Alicia ( Dean), Sylvia (Michael) and brother Stephen (Helen) as well as many special nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Rancho in Abbotsford.
The family would like to thank the Victoria and Abbotsford hospital staff for their care and helping Julie fulfill her last goal of being closer to home near family and friends. Julie and I met in September of 2018. We shared many many Many days doing Aquafit and soaking in the hot tub. Her personal favourite! We talked. We laughed and enjoyed many goof times together. I grew very fond of Julie and will miss her,a,great deal. She was a,strong caring person
