Tribute
Passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior with family at her side on January 1, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Osterwick, Russia and immigrated to Canada in 1955; settling in Abbotsford. She and her predeceased husband Jacob Bergen operated a small farm on South Bradner Road until they retired. She was a caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children and their families: Brigitte (Herb) Nickel, Helene Williams (Brian) and Peter (Linda) Bergen; 9 grandchildren (predeceased by Kevin Nickel), 11 great grandchildren; sister Helen Schultz; brothers Heinrich Teichroeb and Jacob Teichroeb; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Menno Hospital for their patience and care. A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Menno Hospital Chapel, 32945 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donation to Menno Hospital would be appreciated.
