Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Lena Van de Wetering. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2019 at the Tabor Home. Lena was born in Rotterdam, Holland on January 6, 1930. She married the love of her life Casper Van de Wetering on May 14, l952 and 10 days later moved to Canada. They lived in the lower mainland where they raised their family and worked in various types of trades doing everything together. They moved back to Holland for 11 years for Missionary work but returned to Canada to further their Gospel ministry here. Leny was a faithful support to her husband in every way. In her strong faith and love for her family she faithfully prayed for them as they were close to her heart. She was predeceased by her husband Casper, son David, and is survived by her daughter Jeannette (Jim), sons Bert (Mary), Henry (Paula) daughters Leona (Chris), Diane (Reg) daughter-in-law Cathy and sister Ria (Nico). 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Memorial Service to celebrate Mom’s life will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00 at the Northview Community Church (West Court) 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford, B.C.
