From: Heinz and Edith Ratzlaff
Relation: Relationship - friends

Dear Sperling family: We got to know Len through the Melody Ensemble. We appreciated Len for his interest in and concern for others. Heinz remembers the good times we had in a smaller group of players of string instruments of “jamming” together. . His banjo playing was special. In Calgary we reconnected with Arnold and Bev Janzen and became aware of Len’s passing through them. May God comfort you, the family and be with you and your many friends during these days of remembering and grieving.

From: Elaine Magus
Relation: Acquaintance (past)

I was saddened to hear of Len’s death. I knew him quite a spell back when he bought his horse Sky and boarded (for a number of years) at Matsqui Trail Stables in Abbotsford; we were fellow barn mates, amongst a close-knit group of horse owners. I remember him as a very kind, thoughtful and helpful man. My condolences to his family and friends.

From: Bev Ullah
Relation: Daughter's grandfather-in-law

My deepest sympathy to your family. Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds. (NLT). Helped when my mom passed into Glory. May God’s peace surround you as He holds you in His arms.

From: Jerry & Ruth Letkeman

While we rejoice with you and find comfort in knowing that your husband, dad and grandpa is with his Savior, saying a final earthly goodbye is never easy. The wonderful legacy he has left a for your family is such a blessing!
We appreciated the times we got to see him when he would be out for a visit. Blessings as you shed tears, laugh and reflect, as you reminisce and recall happy memories
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 (NIV)
“You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. Matthew 5:4 (The Message)
May God embrace you with His comfort – the comfort you need today and in the days to come. Please know that we empathize with you and are praying for you, as you walk this journey. Hugs! Jerry & Ruth Letkeman

My sincerest condolences to you all. Mr. Sperling was such a good friend to my parents, as well as myself and my siblings. The kindness shown to us will never be forgotten. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my parents were elated when they saw Len in Heaven. To the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this trying time. It was an absolute pleasure to have known him.

” Well done thy good and faithful servant “
