Louise Anne Joyce Friesen (Friesen)

February 10, 1920 - November 4, 2017

Tribute

Louise Friesen – “I just want to hop into heaven, and then I won’t bother anyone anymore!” These were mom’s sincere words when she felt she was burdening her caregivers during her last years. However, mom still had several lessons to learn-and teach-before God took her breath at the age of 97.

Louise Anne Joyce Friesen went to be with her Saviour on November 4, 2017. She was the youngest daughter of Isaak P. Friesen, and was born February 10, 1920 in Long Beach, CA, while her family was visiting from Saskatchewan.  We will temporarily miss her positive outlook, care for others, cooking, poetry, and most of all, her beautiful smile that reflected a soul at peace with God.  She is survived by her husband Jack, four children: Lane, Tim, and Lorin Friesen, and Bonnie Nickel; six grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.  We will remember her life as we rejoice in God’s goodness on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Bakerview MB Church.

From: Roger McClelland
Relation: Former pastor at Abbotsford Baptist Church

With gratitude to God for Louise, and deep sympathy for the Friesen family, we express our love in Christ. We appreciated Louise’s joy and fellowship in the Spirit. She and Jack were a blessing to our church for several years as they fellowshiped with us . May the love and comfort of Christ support and encourage each Friesen family member. Much love in Christ, Pastor Roger and Vicki McClelland

Oh, dear Louise! I loved my encounters with Louise at Grace Church. If they would be described in words, the sentences would always end with exclamation marks! To me, she was dynamic, joyful, always smiling, and always had something cheerful to say. Oh, lady of the laughing eyes, we will meet again one day with oodles of exclamation marks (!!!!!!!!!)
